A.B.U Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited was established in December 1992 and commenced business as a Community Bank in July 1993. However, pursuant to the banking reforms in 2005, the Bank converted to Microfinance Bank in March 2007, after meeting the stipulated requirements of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). By 2015, the Bank has grown to be a State licensed Microfinance Bank and had attained state-of-the-art edifice corporate Head office, situated at Ahmadu Bello University, Main Campus, Samaru, with a branch in its Kongo Campus.
